The Blue Hearts are giving fans a chance to experience one of Japanese rock's most iconic performances. A newly remastered concert special from the band's "All Japan EAST WASTE TOUR '91" finale will premiere on NHK BS Premium 4K on May 29 at 9:00 PM, with a follow-up broadcast on NHK BS on June 13 at 11:10 PM.

The footage comes from The Blue Hearts' June 12-13, 1991 performances at Tokyo's NHK Hall, captured during the final dates of their national tour following the release of their fourth album, "BUST WASTE HIP." The remastered 4K version preserves the raw energy of their set, which includes some of the band's most enduring tracks: "少年の詩" (Shonen no Shi), "TRAIN-TRAIN," "情熱の薔薇" (Jonetsu no Bara), "人にやさしく" (Hito ni Yasashiku), and their 1987 breakthrough hit "リンダリンダ" (Linda Linda).

The Blue Hearts emerged as one of Japan's defining rock acts after that 1987 debut single, quickly solidifying their place in the country's music landscape through the late '80s and early '90s. This concert special offers a window into that era's live music scene and the band's commanding stage presence during their peak years.

On May 20, the band is releasing official T-shirts featuring artwork from seven of their album covers, alongside reissued cassette tape versions of those same albums—a nostalgic nod to the format that dominated when these recordings were originally made.
