The Novembers have released a significantly expanded version of "The Novembers Chronicle," a special website documenting the band's journey since their 2005 formation. The update compiles performance records, member reflections, and archival photos spanning the group's 20-year history.

The chronicle initially launched in March 2025 to mark the band's two-decade milestone, but the latest update fills it with comprehensive data. The band's members—Yusuke Kobayashi (vocals, guitar), Kengo Matsumoto (guitar), Hiroshi Takamatsu (bass), and Ryosuke Yoshiki (drums)—collaborated extensively to gather complete live performance information. In a statement, they acknowledged the challenge of assembling perfect records, noting that early-era information proved difficult to locate due to outdated web services and incomplete documentation.

"While some gaps remain, we've created an archive that's as complete as possible with considerable help from various sources," the band explained.

The archive includes a year-by-year timeline of performances and personal accounts from members reflecting on different periods of their career. Rare photographs complement the historical documentation, offering fans a detailed look at the band's evolution from their 2007 debut EP through their ninth full-length album released in December 2023.

The Novembers also used the archive's launch to share context around their upcoming work. Tomorrow, May 20, they're releasing a new EP titled "Ensemble Engine" (合奏する、エンジン). The band framed the project as a creative response to contemporary challenges, describing it as exploring "how to struggle, rage, regenerate, and burn with passion" amid global uncertainty. They positioned creative energy as an expression of love and called on listeners to contribute their efforts toward building peace and happiness, no matter how small the action.

The band has also announced a tour supporting the new EP across six cities. Their 20th anniversary celebration continues with a commemorative concert scheduled for November 2025 at Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA.
