THE RAMPAGE's Takeyachi Kaito is stepping into the spotlight with his first photobook, "BREATH," launching May 29 through Shufu to Seikatsu Sha. At a press conference in Tokyo, the performer shared his vision for the project and his plans to make it personal for his bandmates.

Known for his impressive physique and work as a professional wrestler with DDT Pro-Wrestling, Takeyachi deliberately chose a different direction for the book. The theme centers on "being authentic"—showing his natural, unguarded self rather than his typical strong image. Shot in Guam, the photobook captures him in relaxed, candid moments that reveal a softer side fans don't usually see.

Takeyachi explained his attachment to the location: his name contains the character for "sea," and he has childhood memories of family beach trips. Guam turned out to be the ideal setting. The title "BREATH" carries deeper meaning—it represents taking a moment to relax and breathe, with hopes the book becomes a place of respite for readers and emotional support during challenging times.

When asked about his favorite shot, Takeyachi highlighted a photo of himself in a suit. "There's a composure and natural charm that came from absorbing the environment without being glued to my phone," he said. "Even I was surprised by the expression I made."

Something special awaits his THE RAMPAGE family: Takeyachi hasn't yet given copies to his 15 groupmates. "I'm planning to give each of them a personalized copy with handwritten messages," he shared with a laugh, clearly excited to see their reactions.

Recently recovering from acute appendicitis that required hospitalization and temporary hiatus, Takeyachi confirmed he's back to full strength. Despite losing 8 kilograms during his five-day hospital stay, he powered through his Osaka comeback performance. He's also preparing for his wrestling return on May 31, stating he's ready "in body and spirit" and plans to gradually rebuild while staying true to his authentic self.

When asked to rate the photobook, Takeyachi gave it a perfect 100, noting it captures dimensions of himself that longtime fans appreciate—the moments when his guard drops.
