timelesz member Hashimoto Shosei is stepping into his first film lead role, starring as Midori Yukishiro in the romance film Oneesan no Midori-kun, which hits theaters December 4.

The film adapts Amu Meguro's manga of the same name, telling the story of a high school girl named Sui Sanae who falls for her sister's boyfriend—the one person she absolutely shouldn't develop feelings for. Joining Hashimoto in the lead is actress Reina Nakajima, who plays Sui.

Director Masato Kimura (Blue Spring Ride, Strobe Edge) and screenwriter Nami Yoshikawa (Honey Lemon Soda, Lie Exchange Diary) are at the helm of the production.

In his comment, Hashimoto expressed both surprise and determination: "I never expected I'd get to lead a film like this. After reading the source material, I found myself captivated by Midori too. He looks mean on the surface, but he's actually kind and composed—yet underneath that kindness lies internal conflict. That gap is what makes him so compelling." He emphasized his commitment to honoring the original story and working closely with Kimura and Nakajima to perfect every detail of emotion, eye contact, and expression.

Nakajima praised her co-star's casting, noting that Hashimoto's gentle aura perfectly suits the character. "Every rehearsal, I can feel him becoming Midori. It inspires me to work harder," she said.

Mangaka Meguro expressed her delight at the adaptation, particularly with the casting choices. "Hashimoto looks like he stepped out of a shoujo manga itself," she commented, while describing Nakajima's transparency and charm as perfectly capturing Sui's essence.

Hashimoto joined timelesz in February 2025 through an audition, becoming one of five new members who expanded the group to eight people. The group released its first single under the new lineup, Rock this Party, earlier this year.
