Shinozuka Daiki from timelesz is back with a second season of his variety show "Sponge Shino 2," which airs on TV Asahi starting June 2.

The show follows Shinozuka as he absorbs knowledge and techniques from experienced entertainers—much like a sponge soaking up water. The concept emerged from his journey with timelesz, where he joined the group through auditions despite having no prior dance or singing experience.

"Sponge Shino 2" continues the format from the first season, which aired in January as part of TV Asahi's late-night variety block. Host Minami Kawa returns to guide Shinozuka through new challenges. This time around, the production team expanded with location shoots and guest appearances from comedian duo Timemachine No. 3 and comedian Nedzucchi, who will share their entertainment expertise.

For those who want to see more, TELASA (TV Asahi's streaming service) will release a special edition featuring unseen footage after the finale airs on June 23. All four episodes will be available to stream together.

About timelesz

The group formed in 2011 as Sexy Zone with five members before undergoing significant changes. Member Marius Yo graduated in late 2022, followed by Nakajima Kento's departure in March 2024. The group rebranded as timelesz in April 2024 with a three-member core. Through the "timelesz project AUDITION" earlier this year, five new members—including Shinozuka—joined, bringing the group to eight members. They released their debut single "Rock this Party" in February 2025.
