Tokyo Idol Festival 2026 Announces Summer Dates
Japan's biggest idol festival returns to Odaiba for three days this summer, bringing together the country's top idol acts in one massive celebration.

Tokyo Idol Festival 2026 will take place from July 31 to August 2 at Tokyo's Odaiba Aomi area, organizers announced today.
The three-day event, officially titled "TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2026 supported by Nishitan Clinic," returns to its traditional summer slot after years of bringing together Japan's most popular idol groups and rising stars.
For international fans unfamiliar with the festival, Tokyo Idol Festival (commonly called TIF) is Japan's largest idol music festival. Since 2010, it has served as the premier showcase for the country's vibrant idol scene, featuring everyone from major groups to up-and-coming acts across multiple outdoor and indoor stages.
The Odaiba location has become synonymous with TIF, offering a scenic waterfront backdrop that perfectly complements the festival's energetic atmosphere. The area's multiple venues allow for simultaneous performances, giving attendees the chance to discover new favorites while catching sets from established acts.
While the full lineup hasn't been announced yet, previous years have featured hundreds of performers across the three days. The festival typically draws tens of thousands of fans from Japan and abroad, making it one of the most anticipated events on the J-Pop calendar.
TIF has historically served as a launching pad for many idol groups, with some acts using their festival performances to announce major news like new releases or member changes. The festival's mix of established stars and newcomers creates an electric atmosphere that captures the essence of Japan's idol culture.
Ticket information and the performer lineup are expected to be announced in the coming months.
