yukigesyo_ has arrived with an ambitious sonic statement. The visual kei duo—a collaboration between vocalist, violinist, and pianist Hikarito (known as Kanata Yumishiro in other projects) and electronic producer Magamaga CZQ (also known as Cazqui)—released their debut album Byakuya on July 15. The 12-track record marks a significant evolution for both musicians, emphasizing heavily processed electronic textures while maintaining the emotional depth and rock instrumentation each brought to the project individually.

The album's lead track, "to the light," arrived with a music video on July 16 that captures yukigesyo_'s core aesthetic: the marriage of organic and synthetic imagery. Hikarito's angelic violin and piano lines are deliberately distorted and transformed by Magamaga CZQ's sound manipulation, creating passages that shift between soft emotional moments and intense, turbulent electronic soundscapes. The track itself cycles through intense rock riffage, delicate acoustic passages, and warped digital textures—a microcosm of what Byakuya delivers across its runtime.

The album also features a re-recorded version of "VIOLIA (mode:yukigesyo_)," originally released under Magamaga CZQ's name with Hikarito as a feature.
