VIVA LA ROCK 2026 has unveiled its third batch of performers, adding several major names to the already impressive lineup for Japan's premier rock festival.

The newly announced acts include indie rock band Creep Hyp (known for their quirky songwriting and cult following), singer-songwriter Aimyon (whose folk-pop style has dominated Japanese charts), solo artist Miyamoto Koji (formerly of The Yellow Monkey), electronic duo MWAM, and veteran rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

The festival takes place from May 3-6, 2026 at outdoor venues around Saitama Stadium 2002 in Saitama Prefecture, just outside Tokyo. This four-day event has become one of Japan's most anticipated rock festivals, consistently drawing both established acts and rising stars.

For international fans, this lineup represents a solid cross-section of contemporary Japanese rock and pop. Aimyon brings mainstream appeal with her acoustic-driven hits, while Creep Hyp offers the alternative edge that festival-goers love. Miyamoto Koji's inclusion adds rock veteran credibility, having been a key figure in Japan's rock scene since the 1990s.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation, often shortened to "Ajikan" by fans, remains one of Japan's most enduring alternative rock acts, known internationally for anime theme songs including "Haruka Kanata" from Naruto.

With two more artist announcements still to come, VIVA LA ROCK 2026 is shaping up to be a must-attend event for Japanese music fans. The festival's location near Tokyo makes it accessible for both domestic and international attendees looking to experience Japan's vibrant live music scene.
