Watanabe Marina is marking 40 years since her debut with a pair of anniversary concerts this October and November. The singer, who launched her career in 1986 as a member of Oniyanko Club, will perform at Billboard Live Osaka on October 23 and Billboard Live Tokyo on November 8.

The concert series, titled "40th Anniversary LIVE 'Still Ringing Bells'," will feature Marina backed by an impressive lineup of musicians. Guitarist Kouhei Dojima, guitarist Kazuma Togono, drummer YUNA, bassist Shiori Sekine (Base Ball Bear), and keyboardist Hiromatsu Kudo will round out the band for performances focused on her solo material.

Each venue will host two shows. In Osaka, shows begin at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Tokyo performances start at 4 PM and 7 PM.

The timing of these concerts reflects a recent resurgence of interest in Marina's work. Earlier this year, a 30th anniversary reissue of her 1996 mini-album "Ring a Bell"—produced by the legendary Eiichi Ohtaki—hit shelves, introducing her sophisticated musical style to new listeners and reminding longtime fans of her artistic depth.

Ticket presales through SMA TICKET run through June 30. Club BBL members of Billboard Live can access their priority window starting July 11, with general sales to follow.

Marina's career trajectory spans decades of evolving J-pop trends, from her early idol days to her work as a respected solo artist known for her refined taste in music and collaborators.
