WHITE SCORPION held a release event for their eighth digital single "7秒のレジスタンス" on May 30 at Tokyo's Ikebukuro Nishi-guchi Park Outdoor Theater, and while the group didn't hit their ambitious 3,000-person attendance goal, the night became a turning point for the idol project overseen by producer Akimoto Yasushi.

The event capped off a month-and-a-half fan-driven campaign called "I.W.S.P." (Ikebukuro Howasupi Project) that blended grassroots promotion with digital outreach. Fans—called SCOPIST—worked toward parallel goals: filling the venue and reaching 55,000 SNS posts using the hashtag #ホワスピ. They distributed tissues at Ikebukuro Station, shared dance videos, and personally invited friends. While the SNS goal fell short at 32,045 posts, the campaign successfully brought in casual fans by removing barriers to participation.

When the final attendance count of 2,833 came out during the live, the room went quiet before erupting in applause. Member AOI addressed the shortfall directly, saying the group wouldn't look away from missing their target. She emphasized that the numbers represented more than logistics—they were "prayers and resolve" on the path toward WHITE SCORPION's stated dream of performing at Tokyo Dome.

"We will face this number again," AOI declared. The group announced they're setting a new goal: a paid live at Toyosu PIT on January 11, 2027, also targeting 3,000 attendees.

The night also saw member COCO make a brief appearance. She'd taken May off due to health issues but appeared on stage to thank fans and members for their efforts during her absence, promising to return stronger.

Founded through the IDOL3.0 PROJECT, WHITE SCORPION debuted in December 2023 with eleven members. They've since released multiple singles and held several one-man lives. The group's willingness to publicly acknowledge missed goals while doubling down on their ambitions offers a refreshing contrast to typical idol group PR—treating fans as partners in a shared journey rather than passive consumers.
