XG Announced for Fuji Rock Festival 2026 Lineup

XG has been confirmed for the first wave of artists performing at Fuji Rock Festival 2026, joining headliners The xx, Khruangbin, and Massive Attack at Japan's most prestigious outdoor music festival.

The festival takes place July 24-26 at Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture. XG will share the stage with Japanese singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze and band Riddim Saunter among other acts in the initial lineup announcement.

For XG, this represents another major milestone in their rapid rise. The seven-member group, produced by XGALX, has gained international recognition with their bilingual approach to pop and hip-hop. Their inclusion at Fuji Rock - traditionally dominated by rock, electronic, and indie acts - signals the festival's continued embrace of diverse genres and reflects XG's crossover appeal beyond typical J-Pop audiences.

Fuji Rock Festival, first held in 1997, is known for its mountain setting and eclectic international lineup. The festival typically attracts over 100,000 attendees across three days, making it one of Asia's largest outdoor music events. Previous years have featured everyone from Radiohead to Red Hot Chili Peppers, with Japanese acts like Perfume and ONE OK ROCK also gracing the stages.

This booking positions XG alongside some of the most respected names in alternative music. The xx brings their atmospheric indie electronic sound, while Khruangbin offers their unique blend of global influences, and legendary trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack round out the diverse headliner trio.

More artists are expected to be announced in subsequent waves as the festival builds toward summer.
