BLACKPINK's Jennie released her new single 'Less than a Lover' on July 24, debuting at No. 1 on iTunes in 27 regions worldwide—the most for any K-pop solo song released in 2026.
Jennie wasted no time making an impact with her latest solo release. The BLACKPINK member dropped "Less than a Lover" on July 24 at 1 p.m. KST, accompanied by an official music video.
Within hours, the single had claimed the top spot on iTunes Top Songs charts across at least 27 countries and regions, spanning the Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil and beyond. According to her agency OA Entertainment, this is the highest number of iTunes chart-toppers for any K-pop solo song so far in 2026.
The song's reach extended beyond iTunes. "Less than a Lover" became No. 1 on YouTube's worldwide trending music videos list, and also dominated YouTube's trending charts in South Korea and the United States. In China, the track hit No. 1 on three major platforms: QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, and KuGou Music.
Back home in Korea, the single reached No. 2 on Melon's Hot 100 chart, showing strong domestic performance alongside its massive global success.
