Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced Wednesday that a demo for Digimon Story Time Stranger is now available on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The full game arrives July 10 on both platforms.

The demo introduction features Terriermon as your guide, giving players a chance to try out the game before its official launch. For those jumping in on Switch 2, expect improved graphics alongside performance and quality modes to choose from depending on your preference.

Digimon Story Time Stranger originally launched last October for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game has already received three DLC packs throughout 2025 and early 2026, each adding new Digimon, story episodes, and Mega Digivolution routes. The first pack, "Alternate Dimension," dropped in December, followed by "GAKU-RAN" in January and "Anti-ParadoX" in March. Bandai Namco has signaled a major DLC update coming in 2027, suggesting the game will continue expanding for a while.

The game's theme song, "wherever you are," is performed by singer-songwriter reche.

While the console version gears up for its Nintendo launch, Bandai Namco continues expanding the Digimon gaming ecosystem. The publisher announced in March a new mobile title called Digimon UP, built around "a Digimon journey that moves with your life," which is also launching later this year.
