Coco Uzuki's popular romance manga Fall in Love, You False Angels is officially heading to television. Kodansha announced the TV anime adaptation on Thursday, with the series set to premiere in 2027. The announcement came alongside a commemorative illustration from Uzuki herself.

The manga follows Otogi Katsura, a beautiful first-year high school class president who appears to be the perfect "heartthrob angel" to her peers. Behind closed doors, though, she's brash and assertive—the complete opposite of her polished public image. Her vice president, Toki Ninomae, seems equally perfect on the surface, but secretly enjoys watching Otogi's real personality shine through. When Toki witnesses Otogi standing up to some boys at the train station, he becomes drawn to this authentic side of her. The two strike up a partnership to hide their true selves from their classmates, creating a shared secret that begins to bring them closer together.

Uzuki launched the series in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in April 2023. The manga has found considerable success, winning the Kodansha Manga Awards in 2025 and earning a nomination for the Shogakukan Manga Awards that same year. It also ranked in the top 20 on Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook for multiple years, cementing its place among beloved manga for female readers. The seventh volume shipped in Japan on June 12, with the series having reached 2.25 million copies in circulation worldwide.

Kodansha USA Publishing holds the English license for the manga, bringing it to North American audiences. The anime adaptation marks another major milestone for the series, which has already proven its appeal across different markets.
