Bandai Namco revealed Hello Kitty Party Land during a Nintendo Direct presentation, bringing a fresh party game experience to Nintendo's current and next-generation consoles. The game launches October 29 on both Switch and Switch 2.

The new title packs substantial content for couch co-op fans. Players can choose from over 160 Sanrio characters, with 16 designated partner characters for team-based gameplay. The game features more than 40 mini-games across several board game modes supporting up to four players locally.

This announcement fits into a broader expansion of Hello Kitty and Sanrio gaming experiences. Sunblink's Hello Kitty Island Adventure continues growing with its second DLC pack, "City Town," which rolled out in April across Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The cozy life sim previously launched its debut expansion, "Wheatflour Wonderland," in September 2025, after the PC and Switch versions arrived in January 2025. The game originated on Apple Arcade in July 2023.

Beyond traditional gaming, Sanrio's IP presence is expanding into other entertainment mediums. Thirdverse's Hello Kitty Skyland, a social VR experience, entered closed beta testing in September. Warner Bros. is also developing a live-action/animation hybrid Hello Kitty film slated for worldwide release on July 21, 2028, with co-directors David Derrick Jr. (Moana 2) and John Aoshima (Ultraman: Rising) at the helm. The film will feature multiple Sanrio characters alongside the iconic cat character.
