Mr. Osomatsu fans finally have access to the show's missing episode. The 13th installment of Season 4, "The Matsuno Ten," skipped its original broadcast window last summer but screened theatrically from June 6-11 as part of the franchise's 10th anniversary celebration. It's now available on Crunchyroll in Japanese with English subtitles, and aired on Japanese television June 13.

The episode was directed by Yoshinori Odaka, who helmed the anime's first and third seasons. Pierrot Films produced the season, with Shū Matsubara handling scripts and character designer Eiji Abiko returning to the role.

Season 4 premiered on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks in July 2025, following the Osomatsu sextuplets—Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu—as adults navigating modern life. The voice cast remains consistent, with Takahiro Sakurai, Yūichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Miyu Irino reprising their respective roles.

The season continues the franchise's signature "high tension comedy" style, which reimagines Fujio Akatsuka's original Osomatsu-kun manga with the brothers grown up. The opening theme, "Osomatsu-san no Bomba Sheeh!" by dance group DA PUMP, nods to the sextuplets' signature catchphrase. The ending theme, "Buddy," features vocalist Hitomi alongside the Osomatsu cast.

Mr. Osomatsu has maintained steady momentum since its 2015 debut, spawning three prior seasons (2015, 2017, 2020), multiple theatrical films including 2019's Eiga no Osomatsu-san, and live-action adaptations. The franchise recently expanded with two additional anime films that screened in limited Japanese theaters in 2022 and 2023.

This latest release marks another chapter in the enduring series' evolution, proving that even episodes initially withheld from broadcast can find their audience through anniversary celebrations and streaming platforms.
