NIS America confirmed it will bring Nippon Ichi Software's Prinny Party: Going Overboard! to Western audiences this year. The colorful 4-player party game launches on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, with the Japanese version (titled Minna de Poitto! Prinny Sugoroku) arriving November 12.

The game puts up to four players on a shared board where they earn experience, construct facilities, and take turns outsmarting—or literally throwing—their opponents. Between competitive chaos, there's room for cooperation too: players must work together to defeat bosses that threaten everyone at the table.

NIS America added some quality-of-life features for the Western release. The Switch 2 version supports GameShare functionality, letting one player's digital copy be shared with others on the same console. The Steam version includes Remote Play Together, enabling cross-regional play without requiring everyone to own a copy.

Both English and Japanese audio will be available at launch, giving fans the option to hear the Prinny characters in their preferred language. For the unfamiliar, Prinnies are penguin-like demons from the Disgaea franchise, and they're known for their distinctive voices and comedic antics—expect plenty of personality in this party game adaptation.

This release comes as NIS America continues expanding the Disgaea universe beyond its turn-based RPG roots. Earlier this month, the publisher confirmed a Western launch for Disgaea Mayhem (Kyōran Makaism), a Disgaea spinoff arriving on the same platforms July 23. The Japanese version debuted in January across Switch 2, Switch, and PS5.

Prinny Party: Going Overboard! follows in the footsteps of other anime-adjacent party games that have found success with Western audiences. The title's bright art style and straightforward gameplay loop should appeal to both longtime Disgaea fans and casual players looking for local multiplayer fun. Exact Western release dates for Prinny Party haven't been announced yet, but it should arrive sometime after the November Japanese launch.
