Djent Band PARAMENA Expands Lineup, Announces Second Album
Japanese djent act PARAMENA has welcomed two new support members and revealed plans for a second full-length album arriving in late 2026. The new additions bring the band's total string count to 30 across the stage.

PARAMENA has unveiled a reinforced lineup following the May 17 solo show that marked the final performances for guitarist Saya and bassist Fuuta. Joining the djent band's ongoing activities are support guitarist Yosei (Crisis Slave), handling 7- and 8-string guitars, and 6-string bassist Taiyo (HAILROSE).
The expanded roster now brings a combined 30 strings to their live setups. The full current lineup includes vocalist yu-to, 8-string guitarists zima and MASAToooN!, drummer Shunya, plus the two new support members.
Alongside the personnel update, PARAMENA confirmed a second full-length album is currently in development for a late 2026 release. The project will introduce "Structure Metal," a new conceptual direction aimed at broadening their sonic range. The album will retain their signature heavy low tunings and intricate rhythmic arrangements while blending death metal, nu-metal, mathcore, industrial, and ambient elements—creating distinct sonic territories across different tracks.
Since forming in March 2023 with the mission to "define a new standard of djent," PARAMENA has already earned significant recognition. The band won Metal Battle Japan 2024 to represent Japan at Wacken Open Air, setting a record for the fastest time between formation and winning the prestigious competition.
In the meantime, fans can explore PARAMENA's sound through their recent APEIRON EP, available on streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. The project features tracks like "MORPHOGENESIS," "Hyperlapse," and a System of a Down cover, all available with official visualizers and lyric videos on YouTube.
The band maintains an active presence across social media and their official website, where fans can stay updated on upcoming announcements and live dates.
