FUJI & SUN '26 wrapped up as a major success, drawing record crowds to Shizuoka's Fuji Children's Country on June 6-7. The two-day camping festival, now in its seventh year, pulled in roughly 10,000 people—surpassing previous attendance marks. Beyond live music, the event offered food vendors and workshops set against views of Mount Fuji itself.

Day one featured 13 artists across two stages. Katsutoshi Tajima (Original Love) made his first appearance since the festival's 2019 debut, commanding the MOON stage with a solo performance spanning saxophone, guitar, harmonica, and vocals. Humbert Humbert brought family-friendly charm with 12 songs, while Curly delivered crowd singalongs on hits like "C'est la vie." The opening day closed with a special jazz session—"JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ in FJSN"—featuring collaborators Dakyou Ohashi and Tajima alongside guest vocalist Hina.

Day two saw 11 acts take the stages as rain rolled in. Never Young Beach headlined with high-energy tracks, checking in with the rain-soaked crowd before powering through fan favorites like "Surely" and the closing anthem "Sayonara no Uta." Cero delivered an intense hour despite the downpour, while Hanare Gumi offered intimate performances including a Paul Simon cover. Ue Kawa opened proceedings on the MOON stage with gentler, wake-up-call melodies.

WOWOW will broadcast and stream performances from eight artists—Satoko Shibata, Humbert Humbert, Curly, the JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ session, CHO CO PA CO CHO CO QUIN QUIN, Hanare Gumi, Cero, and Never Young Beach—in August.

The festival already has green-lit its eighth edition. FUJI & SUN '27 will happen, though specific details remain forthcoming. For a camping festival combining music, nature, and good vibes, FUJI & SUN has clearly struck a chord with Japanese audiences.
