Shunta Kondo from the six-member group Lienel has landed a special gig as a guest commentator for a professional baseball broadcast—and it's for his favorite team, no less.

Kondo will join the secondary commentary track for a Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters game airing live on BS12 Twelveon July 7th at Zozo Marine Stadium. He'll work alongside play-by-play announcer Yuji Kondo to bring energy to the broadcast.

The timing feels especially meaningful for Kondo, who's from Hokkaido and has been a Fighters fan since childhood. He's never been shy about his allegiance—his personal fan community is literally called "S-Kondo Field," and he regularly posts about the team on Instagram and Lienel's official blog. During a previous interview, he made his wish list clear: "I love everything Fighters-related. I want every Fighters gig possible. I'd love to throw out the first pitch! And I've got the fox dance down perfectly."

Lienel itself is a six-member vocal and dance group under EBiDAN (Ebisu Gakuen Dankbu), consisting of Shuuto Haga, Kondo, Miro Takaoka, Riku Morita, Sosei Takeda, and Masayuki Takakuwa. The group's name comes from the French phrase "Lien éternel," meaning "eternal bond." They debuted in April 2023 after being introduced at an EBiDAN live event, and have since steadily released music across various genres while maintaining an active touring schedule. Earlier this year, they dropped their first EP "Osyan," which featured a track produced by Akira Akurojoji of Kishidan.

When Kondo announced the baseball appearance on his Instagram Stories, he couldn't resist adding a plea for his team: "And let's definitely win the DeNA games starting today!!"

For fans wanting to catch Kondo in this rare appearance, the Fighters broadcast airs July 7th on BS12.
