Piano rock band SHE'S has been tapped to perform at ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba on August 4 ahead of a Pacific League game between the Chiba Lotte Marines and Saitama Seibu Lions.

The performance is part of "BLACK SUMMER WEEK supported by Coolish," a summer event series that's been running since 2021. SHE'S will take the stage before the game begins, bringing their energetic sound to the stadium crowd.

The appearance holds special significance for the band and the Marines organization. SHE'S's track "追い風" (Tailwind) is currently used as the entrance theme for Marines pitcher Rikuto Yokoyama. The song explores themes of fighting through adversity and loneliness—qualities that resonate with the competitive spirit of professional baseball.

In a statement, SHE'S vocalist and keyboardist Ryoma Inoue expressed enthusiasm about sharing their music: "'Tailwind' is a song for people battling the difficulties and isolation that appear before them. I hope we can deliver the energy needed to keep standing back up during tough times to the Marines players, coaches, managers, and all their fans."

Yokoyama reciprocated the excitement, saying he was thrilled to have the band perform. "I was captivated by their song when I first heard it, and now using it as my entrance theme gives me tremendous strength," he noted. "I want to share this victory with SHE'S, their fans, and everyone supporting the Marines."

SHE'S, formed in 2011, is an Osaka-based four-piece known for centering their sound around Inoue's piano work, blending emotional rock numbers with sweeping ballads. They've built a substantial following since their major debut in 2016, highlighted by performances at iconic venues like the Nippon Budokan. The band continues to be active, with upcoming hall concerts planned alongside their ongoing tour schedule.

The August 4 performance offers an unusual opportunity for Japanese baseball and music fans alike to experience live rock music in a stadium setting.
